All Lit Up - Poems

From Unprotected Sex Patrick Jones

Whenever I felt alone or need to feel the air swoosh around within me I
Would go up there and look for them - and there’d be these two ponies
That would be away from the herd - all by themselves - a lovely ragged mad
Brown one and a delicate gentle white one with saddest eyes you’ve ever seen
And I sort of made them mine up there - it was my our world up up there - I’d go up cos nobody looked after them onna mountains they just survived all by themselves
