2008 Cardiff International Poetry Competition
Time is Running Out

Don’t miss your chance to walk away with £5000 for just one poem. Further prizes available are £500 for second place £250 for third and five runners up will receive £50 each. The 2008 Cardiff International Poetry Competition is starting to draw to a close however there are still a few weeks in which to enter, so banish those January blues and take some time to write that prize-winning poem.
Judging the competition is multi award-winning poet Jo Shapcott and U A Fanthorpe, who in 2003 received the Queens Gold Medal for Poetry. So if you think you have what it takes to impress our judges send us your poems today.
Just make sure your poem is no longer than 50 lines, unpublished, is in English and not a translation of another author’s work and send it, along with your entry form and payment, to Academi. The poems will be judged anonymously to ensure a fair competition and unbiased result.
