Evonne Wareham makes the ten finalists in the Romantic Times’ American Title IV contest
Writer Evonne Wareham, from Barry, is one of ten finalists in the Romantic Times’ American Title VI contest. An annual competition, Romantic Times is one of the USA’s leading book reviews magazines. Its website - www.romantictimes.com features news items, book reviews and message boards for fans of romantic fiction. It also provides the forum for the American Title competition, which is themed this year on the genre of the paranormal, futuristic, time-travel and fantasy.
Evonne submitted her full manuscript in July and is now in the running for a publishing contract with Dorchester Publishing of New York. The long list was drawn up by three judges; Romantic Times columnist Flavia Knightsbridge, freelance editor Hilary Ross and veteran romance editor Leslie Kazanjian. However, the winner will be decided in a series of knock-out rounds, in which any web visitor can vote.
To find out more information about the contest and Evonne herself, please visit www.romantictimes.com and click on ’American Title Contest’ (in the Website Spotlight section).
Evonne is flying the flag for Wales as one of only two non-American finalists. Her title Out of Sight, Out of Mind is hailed as a "Romantic Paranormal Suspense". She has written stories since she was a child and describes making the final in American Title IV as a "dream come true".
The eventual winner will be announced on the Romantic Times website on Monday the 21st of April, 2008.
