Writing From The Blood & Bones
Creative Writing Taster Event

Academi Glyn Jones Centre and Wales Millennium Centre

’Explore the roots of the creative impulse, get writing, explore dark dramas and the fabric of myths. Come armed with your favourite tale of
divine skulduggery!’
This exciting free Open Day Event offers participants the opportunity to explore their creative writing skills and find out more about future potential development opportunities available.
The event is being coordnated by Glamorgan Outreach in partnership with Wales Millennium Centre and Academi as part of an ongoing strategy to develop a range of innovative outreach learning opportunites in the area.
The day will also include a chance to browse the Glyn Jones Centre - Academi’s resource centre for writers. For more information click here.
The Creative Writing Workshop will be facilitated by Des Barry who teaches Writing at the University of Glamorgan. Des Barry is author of three novels, Cressida’s Bed, A Bloody Good Friday and The Chivalry of Crime. His short prose has appeared in the New Yorker, Granta, the Anthology of Wales, Half Welsh (Bloomsbury) and the upcoming London Noir (Serpent’s Tail).
