Wales Book of the Year 2008 Long List Launch

The Wales Book of the Year 2008 prizes are awarded to the best book in English and the best book in Welsh in the fields of creative writing and literary criticism. The winners will each receive £10,000.
There will be two events organised by Academi as part of World Book Day celebrations to mark the launch of the Wales Book of the Year 2008 Long List. Two parallel events will be held on Wednesday 12 March 2008 to launch the 10 books in Welsh and 10 books in English selected for the Long List this year.

In the company of Luned Emyr and competition judges Damian Walford Davies, Siân Thomas and Aled Islwyn. Actors Richard Elfyn and Catrin Mara will read extracts from some of the longlisted titles.

Join Hedd ap Emlyn and award judges Mavis Nicholson and Huw Meirion Edwards. With actress Angharad Llwyd performing extracts from some of the longlisted titles.
