Penarth’s Got Talent

This Saturday 5 April 2008 The Paget Rooms hosts Penarth’s Got Talent – a first of its kind showcase for local talent – to include musicians, singers and songwriters, poets and stage performers. Entries from poets, prose writers and dramatists are still being accepted.
Acts will be judged by Phil Carradice – writer and BBC broadcaster, Danny Chang - musician and producer and Rhian Davies - dance and drama professional.
The event will be compered by singer/songwriter and BBC broadcaster - Mal Pope - who will also perform on stage. Check out www.malpope.com
The event is sponsored by Starbucks, Gamlins Music Cardiff, Ty Cerdd Recording Studios at the Wales Millennium Centre, Academi, Ty Newydd & Danny Chang Music.
The Town Mayor, Councillor Gwyn Roberts will open the event.
The afternoon session starts at 3.00 pm for poetry, prose, drama and some singers - entry is £2.00.
Musicians, bands and songwriters will perform from 7.00 pm - entry is also £2.00. Doors will open an hour before each session.
Starbucks will provide coffee and a bar & snacks will be available.
A collection will be made in aid of Ty Hafan - The Children’s Hospice in Wales.
Late entries may still be considered.
