Absinthe #9 Out Now

Issue 9 features work from Jens Blendstrup, Boris Schreiber, José Jiménez, Josip Novakovich, V. Pyetsukh, Nuno Júdice, Carlos Marzal, Wilhelm Genazino, Mathilde Walter Clark, Helle Helle, Amanda Aizpuriete, Henning Koch, Danila Davydov, Geneviève Huttin, Paola Masino, Carlo Betocchi, Stas? Lygutait? Bucevi?ien?, an interview with Giulio Leoni, art by Alexander Egger, reviews by John Taylor, and cover art by Vladimir Zimakov.
The first Oakland University / Absinthe Festival of New European Film and Writing is to be held on the campus of Oakland University in Rochester, MI on 9 - 10 May 2008. Eamonn Wall, Valzhyna Mort, and Piotr Sommers are among the writers appearing. In addition, organisers will be screening three feature films: from Germany Yella, from Romania The Way I Spent the End of the World, and from Russia The Island. All events are Free and open to the public.
