All Aboard the Poetry Boat

The 2009 Academi Cardiff International Poetry Competition winners will be announced at an official ceremony aboard cruise vessel Seren y Bae on Wednesday 17 June 2009. This year’s unique ceremony will be held afloat and includes a 90-minute covered cruise around Cardiff Bay. The winners will be announced and the prizes awarded by National Poet of Wales, Gillian Clarke, in the company of the prize-winners, Welsh poets, local literary enthusiasts and dignitaries.
The ceremony will begin as we board Seren y Bae at 2.00 pm on Mermaid Quay, Cardiff Bay. So join us to find out whom judges Ian McMillan and Kurt Heinzelman have chosen to sail away with the first prize of £5,000 for just one poem.
Tickets cost just £7.00 / £6.00 (Academi Members and Associates)
£5.00 for entrants to the 2009 competition
Includes a 90-minute cruise on Cardiff Bay and wine reception on arrival
