In Her Element

Honno are looking for walkers, climbers, mountaineers, nature–lovers, star gazers, midnight ramblers, artists, farmers, conservationists, pilgrims and pot-holers – women whose lives and work are inspired by the Welsh landscape.

What does your connection to the natural world mean to you? Have you pushed yourself to the limit on a climb or pitted yourself against the elements? Why did you do it? Have you taken a pilgrimage, a spiritual or emotional journey on foot? Did you gain a greater understanding of yourself and the world around you?

If you have found yourself in your element in the Welsh landscape, Honno would like to hear from you. They are looking for autobiographical pieces between (1000-3000 words), which relate strongly to a particular place or series of places in Wales. The end result will be a new autobiographical anthology on women’s experiences of the Welsh landscape.

The deadline for submissions is April 30th 2007.
