Two Classics Adapted for BBC Radio 4

Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert

Diana Griffiths’ dramatisation of Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert is to be broadcast on Woman’s Hour, BBC Radio 4, in ten parts. Starring John Hurt as the Narrator and Sarah Smart as Emma.

Broadcast times: 4 – 8 September 2006 and 11-15 September 2006 at 10.45 am
          Madame Bovary will be repeated in the evenings 7.45 pm

Also not to be missed is Griffiths’ adaptation of Whistle Down the Wind which is broadcast on Sunday 17 September 2006 at 3.00 pm as a Classic Serial in one episode. Whistle Down the Wind will be repeated on Saturday 23 September at 9.00 pm.
