Michael Thomas is a 36 year old policeman who hates his job, loves writing, and hopes the latter will mean he can quit the former. He has published travel articles, web shorts and w on the odd local short story competition - but nothing as prestigious as the Rhys Davies award. He’s currently studying for his MPhil at the University of Glamorgan, while secretly planning to emigrate to Portugal at the first available opportunity. He is currently working on his novel, entitled pocketnotebook, about a sociopathic police officer - not, he adds, autobiographical in any way…
