BARDD TEULU (Household poet or poet of the retinue)

According to the Laws of Hywel Dda, the Bardd Teulu was an officer in the king’s court. His duty was to sing to the king after the Pencerdd (chief of song) had done so, and to entertain the queen in her chamber.
