Funding Guidelines

Terms & Conditions

1. If Academi offers financial support to an event, we require a credit in any printed programme and on all publicity. The Academi’s logo can be downloaded from the ‘How to acknowledge Academi’section on the menu to the left. It is also available from us on paper  or on disc. Please let us know if you need it in this form. We also ask, if appropriate, for verbal acknowledgement of the Academi’s support to be made at the time of the event.
2. Academi’s literature funding schemes can only offer support to bonafide organisers and promoters. Writers cannot book themselves and organisers cannot seek funding for events where they book their own members, employees or officers to deliver workshops or performances. The only exceptions to this are large membership bodies where the writers booked have no access to the decision-making process.
3. Academi staff may not receive fees originating from any scheme. Academi Board and Committee members may be booked only in cases where they are remote from that decision-making process.
4. Teachers should note that storytelling sessions in schools must always incorporate creative writing work as an integral part of the visit.
5. The Academi is not permitted to fund charitable fund-raising events.
