Founder member of Hijinx Theatre, Cardiff, and South Glamorgan’s Theatre in Education team. Richard came to storytelling and writing through devised theatre work, especially for children and adults with learning difficulties, having also shared the care and upbringing of his two children. Richard is the driving force behind Cardiff Storytelling Circle and regular host of the popular People’s Palace Ceilidh sessions at Beyond The Border.

Eligible Writers On Tour subjects offered:
1. Storytelling performances for groups and individuals, e.g. Wales Council for the Blind storytelling and reminiscence project 1993, in a home for the elderly; also schools, libraries, festivals, etc.
2. Workshops for storytellers and writers, e.g. for pre–school playgroup leaders, nursery nurses, teachers, etc. Themes vary upon request, e.g. starting storytelling, challenging sexism and racism, remaking traditional stories for today.
3. Workshops related to character development in stories

AGE RANGE: Happy to work with all ages, and prefers to work to a shared brief. Is an experienced reader of poetry and prose.
