Fiction writer. Born in Scotland, educated at Edinburgh University where she took an English degree. Spent a year at the Sorbonne, also trained in drama at Central School. 16 books for young people, published by Longman and Stanley Thornes. Read her stories on BBC Radio Wales. Also writes for adults. At present Tutor in Creative Writing with the Department of Continuing Education, Cardiff University.
