Catherine FisherPoet and children’s novelist. Born in Newport. Graduated from the University of Wales in 1980. Has worked in teaching and archaeology, now a full–time writer. Winner of the Welsh Arts Council Young Writer’s Prize 1989, Cardiff International Poetry Competition 1989 and Tir na nOg Prize 1995. Short–listed for Smarties Prize and WH Smith Prize.
