HORTON, BABS

Born and brought up in Wales and later in London, Babs Horton now lives in Plymouth. She used to teach at a school for children with special needs and has recently been appointed by the Royal Literary Fund to a Writing Fellowship at the the University of Plymouth. A Jarful of Angels (Simon & Schuster, 2003) won the Pendleton May Award for the Best First Novel of 2003.
