Writer of children’s fiction and biography. Journalist, feature writer and public relations consultant. Gives talks to schools and societies. Born in Bristol. Educated at St. Hilda’s College, Oxford. Anglesey resident from 1976 to 2003. Now lives in Cambridgeshire. Winner of Tir na Nog Prize 1988. Awarded Arts Council of Wales bursary in 1988 and Irma Chilton bursary in 1995. Has worked in publishing in London and on the Daily Mail in London and Manchester. Freelance since 1971. Has broadcast on BBC Radio Wales, TV series with husband Ian Skidmore. Children’s stories (in English) on BBC Radio Cymru. Feature writer, Daily Post. Currently working on a series of stories about Taz, the Houdini Hound.
