Playwright/Scriptwriter. Born in Newport, Gwent. Tony is an ex–journalist, photographer, Merchant Seaman and Advisory Drama Teacher. He was winner of BBC TV Wales Playwriting Competition 1994. Tony also won both the 1996 and 1997 Drama Association of Wales One-Act Play Competitions. He has directed many adult and youth theatre groups and founded both the Swansea Youth Theatre and Merlin Youth Theatre, Carmarthen. In his first novel, entitled Castles in the Sand (Lulu.com, 2007), he tells the story through the eyes of a 12 year old boy during World War Two. Loosely autobiographical, it is a story of warmth, humour and trauma, of how the human spirit can overcome lost innocence.
