Writer, teacher, singer and storyteller. Australian born, Eric moved to the UK aged 11, and studied psychology at Sheffield University. He spent 10 years travelling the world including performing in Aboriginal communities of central Australia. Eric settled in Gwynedd in 1986. He has written children’s books, chapters, articles and papers, and worked as a professional storyteller since 1989 including for English Heritage and CADW at historic sites, in museums, art galleries, fairs, forests, festivals and schools. Eric has appeared in TV programmes on Stonehenge, Merlin and the Holy Grail. He teaches courses at Ty Newydd writing centre and organises programme of performances and workshops at Cae Mabon.

Eligible Writers on Tour subjects offered:
1. Performance: Songs and tales from Oral Tradition for enjoyment and as a stimulus to creative oral and literary expression. Themes include: Celtic legends and folklore, creation myths from around the world, environmental tales (forest, ocean, animals etc.); historical stories linked to specific sites; tales of ’the hero’s quest’. Also tells ’the Universe Story’ based on current findings of science. Plays drum, guitar, digeridoo and whistles.
2. Workshops: on becoming a storyteller and using storytelling in education; writing poetry, songs and short stories; story and landscape; tales of life’s journey to inspire young people.
