Born in Bradford and educated at University College of North Wales, Bangor. Tutor in Literature and Creative Writing at Coleg Harlech for thirty years. Has published four collections of poetry, appeared in many anthologies, and published in magazines in Wales, England and USA. Has written extensively on the fiction of Richard Hughes and on modern poetry, especially the English language poetry of Wales. Editor of Poetry Wales 1992-1996. Has taught in Writers Workshops and has read on both sides of the border.
