Kate WilliamsChildren’s poet with around 50 poems published in anthologies by Oxford University Press, Macmillan, Hodder, Red Fox and other national publishers, and by Pont and the WJEC in Wales. Two self published books of poetry also available. Full list of publications provided on request. Kate’s latest self-published work is entitled Swinging through the Sky: Poems for Children. This 64-page collection offers an array of illustrated poems that zoom up close to topics from dinosaur swamps to 21st century high streets, all through a ‘pick and mix’ of accessible styles. Eligible Writers on Tour subjects offered:

1. Poetry Fun Events for schools, libraries, and anyone who is interested. These are poetry performances for 7-11 year-olds, involving a high level of audience participation, together with music, pictures, props, word games, and a poem for children to start writing.  All are based on selected readings from Swinging through the Sky, with a choice of themes. Current themes on offer: Creatures on the Move, Time Travel, Sky & Space and - the most popular - Pirates.
