ROBERTS, ANGELA
Angela originally comes from the Wrexham area and now lives at the foot of Snowdonia. She is a writer for Welsh/English television, radio and screen with over 80 broadcast scripts to her credit. Her science-fiction series, ’Cabaret Quazar’, was awarded a British BAFTA nomination and a Royal Television Society nomination for Best Children’s Drama. Her ’Jini Mê Jones’ series was awarded a Welsh BAFTA for Best Children’s Programme and Jini Mê videos are still selling well throughout Wales.
Having won an Irma Chilton Award several years ago, she went on to write her latest novel, The Pig Tale (Y Lolfa, 2006), which was selected as Book of the Month for August 2006 by WH Smiths. Angela is a member of Academi.
