HOOKER, JEREMY

Jeremy HookerJeremy Hooker was born in 1941 and is a poet, broadcaster, teacher and critic. Jeremy has taught in universities in Wales, England, the Netherlands and the USA and is a Reader in English Literature and  Professor of English Literature at the University of Glamorgan. In addition to publishing literary criticism, including Writers in a Landscape (1996) and monographs on David Jones and John Cowper Powys, he is the author of ten collections of poems and has published two journals: Welsh Journal (Seren, 2001) and Upstate: A North American Journal (Shearsman, 2007).

The Cut of the Light. Poems 1965–2005 (Enitharmon Press, 2006), was on the Wales Book of the Year 2007 Long List.
