Poet. Born Newport, Gwent. Educated at Newport High School. Past Joint Secretary of English Language Section of Welsh Academy. Contributes widely to magazines, text–books and anthologies. Alison has read poems on radio and appeared on television. She has won 13 poetry awards and poems have been chosen three times for inclusion in Borestone Mountain Poetry Awards anthologies in the USA. She has been published in many European countries and in India as well as the UK and USA. Poems from The Lovetree were set to music by Welsh composer Trevor Roberts and performed as Idyll at the 1975 Fishguard Festival.
