WILLIAMS, BERYL STAFFORD

Beryl Stafford Williams is from Penmaenmawr and her latest novel, In the Dark (Gomer, 1995), is a work of fiction based on historical events, taking as its background the wartime exhiling of the National Gallery’s paintings for safekeeping in the Manod caves on the edges of Snowdonia. Beryl was formerly Head of English at Ysgol Tryfan, Bangor. She is married to Gwynn, who shares her love of art.
