List Of Writers
HARRIS, MARC
Marc was born in Cardiff and has recently returned after living in England for thirty years. He works with homeless people in a hostel in Cardiff and has always worked with those ’disadvantaged by society’. His influences include Dylan Thomas and R.S Thomas, and particularly enjoys Horses on the Camargue by Roy Campbell. He finds writing poetry and creating art extremely relaxing, and gets a real buzz if he feels that he has written something good.
Marc has had poems published in Envoi, Poetry Scotland, New Welsh Review, Confrontation, Southword, Poetry Ireland Review, The Stinging Fly and The Shop. His poetry has also been published in The International Erotic Review, Dreamcatcher, Cutting Teeth, Poetry Now Magazine and The New Writer. Marc has also had poetry exhibited at St. David’s Hall in Cardiff to honour the 1999 Rugby World Cup and has done readings at the Wales Millennium Centre. Most recently, Marc has had work published in the anthology The Power of Poetry (Spotlight Poets, 2005). He is due to have more of his work released in Agenda, Red Poets’ Society Magazine and Bravado.
