JENKINS, MARK
Mark was born in London to Irish and Welsh parents. He has lived and worked in Wales for twenty-five years, becoming a full-time writer in 1996. Mark currently teaches scriptwriting at the University of Glamorgan. His film The Scarlet Tunic (1998) starring Simon Callow and Emma Fielding, premiered at Cannes and The Odeon, Leicester Square. Mark has had a number of plays produced professionally - nearly all of them opening in London. His work includes the prize-winning Rosebud, as well as Playing Burton (1992): Birthmarks (1987): Mister Owen’s Millennium (1995): Downtown Paradise (1996): Strindberg Knew My Father (1996): The Lives of Orson Welles (2004): Nora’s Bloke (2003): Mother Tongue (2005). Three of Mark’s plays were published by Parthian in 2004. He received an Academi bursary in 2007 to write his first novel which has just been published by Infestedwaters.Selected Publications:
