Teleri Williams was born in Aberystwyth and grew up in Wales, North Africa and Turkey. She gained a Ph.D. at the University of Wales Aberystwyth for her thesis on the modernist novelist Dorothy Richardson. Teleri has had articles and poems published in magazines in Wales, England and the USA. After many years in West Wales, she now lives and writes in the Languedoc in southern France. Teleri has recently had her first poetry collection published by Alun Books. Entitled In Sight of the Sea, it explores the life of her maternal grandmother Thirza Emma.Selected Publications:

In the poem sequence In Sight of the Sea Teleri Williams explores the life of her maternal grandmother, Thirza Emma. Inspired by old family photographs, memories and the few known details, she follows a trail from Emma`s birth in Bridport in 1892, around the Mediterranean, then to New York, the English Midlands and finally rural Wales, in an imaginative poetic journey to discover the real woman.
