HICKS, BARRY

Born on Swansea’ Gower coast, Barry has settled in Wales after living in London, South Africa and Spain. Formerly the Principal of a flourishing stock audit practice, he has also worked as a stringer journalist and written comedy sketches for the BBC. Barry is a member of The Society of Authors and The Writer’s Guild of Great Britain. Barry has published Song of the Viper, and has another two novels completed which are in preparation for publication. They were written specifically aimed at the film industry rather than the mainstream literary market. He is now working on a biography of Chief Petty Officer Edgar Evans, also native to the Gower, who tragically died on Scott’s ill-fated Antarctic journey of 1912.
