Sarah grew up in Devon and has been a resident of Cardiff for twelve years. She studied for an MA in writing from Sheffield Hallam University and now writes film, radio and television documentary scripts. A lot of her work has been for BBC4. Together with Suzanne Phillips and Valerie Croft, she is a director of the independent production company, Forget About It Film and TV. She takes a particular interest in iconic artists of the 20th century who practiced their art in times of social and political change. Sarah also writes reviews, and writer and artist profiles, and has interviewed Sarah Waters and Catherine Merriman as part of this work.

She published her first novel, entitled Other Useful Numbers, with Parthian in 2008. An edited chapter from her book, entitled ’The Shoes with No Soul’, was published in Matter magazine in September 2007.
