The Short List Announcement at the Guardian Hay Festival

Do you want to be among the first to hear who has made it on to the Wales Book of the Year 2008 Short List?

At 7.00 pm on Monday 26 May 2008, Academi will announce the Wales Book of the Year 2008 Short List of three books in each language on the Segovia Stage at the Guardian Hay Festival. This event will be in the company of the Minister for Heritage, Rhodri Glyn Thomas.  Judges Trevor Fishlock and Aled Islwyn will present us with their separate adjudications and will announce the Short Lists; and lecturer and 2007 Shortlisted author Robin Chapman will chair panel discussions with the shortlisted authors. Simultaneous translation facilities will be provided. Academi will host a book signing session and wine reception on the Literature in Wales stand following the event.
