Call for submissions
Screaming Dreams Publishing (www.screamingdreams.com) a new, small, independent publishing imprint based in South Wales is due to publish a Welsh-themed Anthology of short stories in 2008, edited by Mark Howard Jones and Christopher C Teague.
The guidelines for authors are:
- You must be a Welsh-born author, or at least be currently living in Wales on a permanent basis. And no, visiting Porthcawl for a day trip doesn’t qualify you to submit!
- The story must have a Welsh connection. For example, the location could be set somewhere in Wales, or one (or more) of the characters could be Welsh, or the tale could be based on old Welsh myths and legends. That kind of thing.
- It must also have an element of fantasy, sci-fi or horror as the main theme. It can be serious or funny, that is up to you.
- Length should ideally be between 2000 - 5000 words and you are only allowed to submit one story at a time. Please send in *.rtf format if possible.
- All work must be new and unpublished.
Please get in touch with a brief overview of your story idea but do NOT send manuscripts until they are requested, thank you.
