LAUNCH OF NEW SHORT STORY MAGAZINE
Since the departure of celebrated short story magazine Cambrensis last year, the writing circles of Wales and beyond have felt the loss of a space to show their talents. However, this year a brand new magazine is set to take its place. Blue Tattoo is an exciting new writing venture in Wales and will take its much needed place in contemporary Welsh writing. This will be a first for new solo editor Dafydd Prys, who at present is the associate editor of Planet.
Blue Tattoo, a quarterly magazine, will feature both established talent and new voices of Welsh fiction. Inside will be a range of short story styles, from the traditional and modern to prose and graphic novel style stories as well as a contemporary review section. The first issue is set to be released in the spring, with 5 April set as the official launch date. The launch will be held at the Arts Centre and Bookshop at Aberystwyth. More information on the launch will be available nearer the time.
