The Rod Hall Memorial Award 2008

The Rod Hall Memorial Award is presented every two years to an outstanding new playwright. This award is intended to launch a writing career - the winner will receive a £5000 commission to write a play for renowned new writing company Paines Plough, and representation from the Rod Hall Agency.

The award is open to playwrights aged 18-30 who are not, nor have ever been, professionally represented. Applicants must be UK residents and qualifying plays must be over 60 minutes running time.

All entries should be submitted unbound with a covering letter detailing experience to the address below. Entries cannot be returned. Email entries cannot be submitted.

The winner will be announced in October 2008
