K Blundell Trust Awards
The K Blundell Trust makes awards to British authors under the age of 40 who need funding for important research, travel or other expenditure. There will be two rounds of grants in 2008, awarded in the spring and in the autumn.
The next closing date for applications is 30 April 2008
Eligibility criteria:
Applicants must:
- be British by birth, ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom and under the age of 40 on the closing date for applications (30 April);
- must submit a copy of their latest published book;
- show that their work contributes ‘to the greater understanding of existing social and economic organisation’. Fiction is not excluded.
Grants are unlikely to exceed £4,000 and most grants are in the region £1,000-£2,000
