| BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF GROUP: Two experienced storyteller/performers whose interests lie as much in the exploration of the meanings behind stories as in the enjoyment of telling them.
| |
| Tall Tales are two experienced storyteller / performers who offer a range of innovative and entertaining one and two day storytelling programmes and traditional story based performance workshops in primary and secondary schools. We believe in the story as a learning tool and adapt our own style and material according to the age, linguistic, emotional and social requirements of our audience. Although we tell a comprehensive range of anecdotes, myths, legends, folk and wonder tales from around the world, we constantly update our repertoire by translating from sources unavailable to the English Speaking audience. In addition to our storytelling programmes and workshops we also offer performances of The Nandi Bear, a commissioned T.I.E. / Storytelling piece that examines the nature of prejudice, racism and bullying. The Performance is followed by a group discussion and a further storytelling session.

The king was saddened when he read this, but the Queen was inconsolable. She took to walking in the woods alone, grieving over her fate never to produce an heir to the throne. One day she was out walking, lost in dark thoughts, “What troubles you, My Queen?” asked the old woman. The Queen looked up and said, “There’s no point telling you. There’s nothing you can do to help me.” To purchase this book and for further information please visit www.talltales.uk.com | |
