Any other information: The founder of ’Credible Books Ltd.’, Vincent Dowdall - a former BBC Television producer, launched Credible Books with his wife Marie to self-publish his own work and to help overcome the problems new writers have in getting a book published when he/she is neither a media personality, a politician, nor a relative of a publisher. In a recent interview Vincent explained: "Our motto is: ’Publishing Books for the Enquiring Mind’ and that is the common thread." Vincent stressed: " We are not a vanity press and only publish books we believe are commercially viable. "Most large publishers will only consider print runs in thousands of copies, but we are geared for lower runs, which are more likely to suit new authors in these areas." Addressing prospective authors he continued: "Your book is likely to fall within the general areas of ’Thought Provoking’, ’Instructive’ or ’Biographical’, so if you feel your book is in one of those categories then please visit their website submit a synopsis of your manuscript., but we are not looking for fiction." |
